Day 1 :
Day 1:

09.00: Arrival at the reception of the Rafting Centre located in Papigno,
This is the ideal place for rafting in Umbria and is located below the Marmore Falls, where you can find the fantastic descent of the rapids in an inflatable boat. Here, the River Nera flows swiftly over rocks for almost three kilometres, forming fourth-degree rapids, (1 to 6 the difficulty of rafting), surrounded by lush vegetation, in an environment that will remind you of tropical forest atmospheres. One does not need any special skills to engage in this adventurous and exciting experience. All you need is to be able to swim, to be in good health and to be between 18 and 55 years of age and weigh less than 100 KG (the Management reserves the right to exclude those who do not demonstrate adequate psychophysical and motor aptitude from advanced sports activities).

Once you arrive at your destination, you will be equipped with what you need and participate in a theoretical-practical lesson with our guides, who will explain all the steps and the most important notions you need to know once you board the rafts. The lesson lasts approximately one hour and includes a demonstration by the instructor. After you have donned the equipment provided by the Centre, you will be ready to embark first on the shuttle bus that will take you all the way down to the waterfall and then, together with your guide, you will board the rubber dinghy for a safe descent down the Nera River with a guide ready to support you. The descent into the river lasts approximately 40 minutes, during which time, as you will be told in the lesson, the important thing is to stay firmly on board without falling into the water (which is why a good swimming level is highly recommended). There are six places on the dinghy, but you can also come alone. You will immediately start 'paddling' with the support of the instructor so that you can tackle all the points (even the steepest) that await you! The entire 'Rafting' activity in Umbria, including the shower, takes about two and a half to three hours.
1.30 p.m.: Lunch at 'Osteria La Cascata' located within the Nera River Park
3.00 p.m.: Departure for Narni and accommodation at the Hotel dei Priori Ristorante la Loggia located within the historic centre
16:00: Visit to the Narni Sotterranea located a short walk from the hotel. The main one is Narni Sotterranea itself, with a guided tour through the premises of the ancient convent of San Domenico. Here you will discover a 12th-century frescoed church, be catapulted back 2,000 years to admire a deep cistern and be virtually accompanied into the Roman aqueduct of ancient Narnia. You will be moved by the dungeons of the Inquisition and the graffiti left in a cell by prisoners. Then on to the former cathedral of San Domenico, where you will be enraptured by the latest splendid discovery, a Byzantine mosaic from the 6th century. Another hypogeal site that can be visited is the interior of the Roman aqueduct of the Formina (1st century A.D.), this visit is by appointment only (minimum 7 days' notice, in the spring-summer period). To conclude the visit to Narni's underground sites, there is the Lacus, the early medieval cistern located under Piazza Garibaldi (free admission). Narni Sotterranea is not distinguished by the extent of the rooms that can be visited, but by their uniqueness, which is also conferred by the fact that it is a history that has not yet been fully discovered.
8 p.m.: Dinner at Ristorante la Loggia and free tour of the town, particularly at night

Day 2 :
Day 2:

9 a.m.: Breakfast at the booked accommodation facility
10 a.m.: Departure for the old railway that leads to the most authentic heart of Umbria, a walk along the Nera Gorge, transformed into a cycle and walking path, to discover a magical place that preserves all the beauty of the region: the Maldives of Umbria.
That old and evocative disused railway that once connected Orte and Rome marks the starting point of an incredible journey, one that leads to a fairytale place, guardian of the truest and most authentic soul of the Umbria region. To reach this natural paradise nestled between Narni and Stifone, one crosses one of the most beautiful trekking paths in Umbria and Italy, which winds along the former Spoleto Norcia Old Railway. The cycle and pedestrian path, which can be crossed either on foot or on two wheels, is one of the most beautiful in Umbria, despite its short length. The six kilometres of the Nera Gorge route wind through silent villages and breathtaking views for an experience punctuated only by the sound of the flowing river. The itinerary starts at Narni Station, which leads to the Augustus Bridge where the route begins. From here you cross the old railway line that runs along the entire river. Proceed at a slow pace to admire all the sights in these six kilometres.
There is the Abbey of San Cassiano, on the Montagna di Santa Croce, and there are water springs. There is Superb Narnia, with its medieval atmosphere pervading the entire valley. There is the small and enchanting village of Stifone, a wonderful old village directly overlooking the water. Slowing down here is almost a must. And there are, again, the forests of Leccio and Ornello.
1.30 p.m.: Lunch at 'Trattoria Tiberina
3.30 p.m.: Continue along the former railway path, admiring the Mole di Narni and the ancient village of Montoro vecchio. Return to Narni.
